Think about it: How many times have you had one too many and, in the midst of your drunchies, decided you would steal a baby if it meant you could get your hands on some quality tacos? No? Just us?
Den Hospitality, the crew who's brought us cool kid watering holes like The Garret, The Lately, and Chillhouse, have officially debuted a delicious new concept serving up Mexican Street Food inside one of their most Instagrammable hot spots.
Borrachito opened this week and it's about to change your happy hour vibes forever. Hidden behind The Garret East, the dimly-lit taco stand of a space replaces Dinnertable (the reverse speakeasy eatery) with a casual, intimate, straight-up authentic Mexican munchie experience.
Executive Chef Yuval Ochoa, who originally hails from Guadalajara, put a modern twist on his traditional family recipes, resulting in must-haves like the Pork Bomb and Baja Fish, and even a Burrata taco. Yes. Burrata. In a taco.
Things are spicy on the cocktail front as well. Wash it all down with sips from the front of house bar, including the Spicy Dead Lady (Mezcal, Aperol, Velvet Falernum, Lime) and the Donkey Horse (Tequila, Tumeric, Ginger, Lime, Scandinavian Fernet). A selection of Mexican sodas, beers and small pours of mezcal and tequila are also available straight from the taco stand.
Like the sign says, Live Fast Eat Tacos.
