Eighth Street has become quite the Greenwich Village hub of hot spots. There's Loring Place, Existing Conditions, The Marlton, and now, from chefs Ryan Lory and Adam Bordonaro (both formerly of Charlie Palmer Group and Fig & Olive), Ardyn.
A seasonally-driven New American restaurant, Ardyn offers guests three distinct experiences. For drinks on the town meets stylish bar snacks, there's the sleek lounge, for those looking to indulge in a smorgasborg of plates, there's the a la carte menu served in the dining room, and for the culinary purists wishing to relinquish themselves to the whim of the chef, there's the tasting-menu-only chef’s counter.
We're already calling this as a perfect date night spot, so get your reservations while you can. Once word of this mouthwatering menu gets out, good luck. Featuring shareable dishes like White Asparagus with Iberico ham, spring onion, pistachio, Scallop Crudo with sugar snap pea, green strawberry, marcona almond, Cappelletti with short rib, maitake, veal jus, Charred Octopus with black garlic, chorizo, pee wee potato, and Sasso Chicken with asparagus, endive, chicken jus. Not to mention desserts like Cheesecake with strawberry, pistachio, basil and Coconut with passion fruit and meringue.
