The New Show 'Central Park' Is A Musical Love Letter To... Well, Central Park

It's a cartoon, it's a comedy, it's a musical! Apple TV+ has just released their newest show, Central Park, and as familiar as it may at first appear to a world quite used to the animated stylings of Family GuyBob’s BurgersAmerican Dad and the like, it quickly proves to be a delightfully new and heartwarming take on the animated comedy genre.

A love letter to Central Park and New York at large, the show follows Park Manager Owen Tillerman (voiced by Hamilton star Leslie Odem Jr.), his journalist wife Paige (Kathryn Hahn), daughter Molly (Kristen Bell) and son Cole (Titus Burgess) as they navigate life in the middle of the city's most cherished gem.

I won't spoil things for you, but as all great New York stories go, there's of course a curmudgeon-y heiress named Bity Brandenham (Stanley Tucci), composed mostly of overly-coiffed hair, oversized glasses, and a petit pup basically stapled to her side at all times, who is hell bent on stirring some shit up.

Basically, just trust me and watch it.
