Candy colored homes, dockside restaurants, and continuous ocean views have us yearning for summer, so Martha's Vineyard serves as the perfect weekend getaway. We don't like to be caught in touristy traps, especially when we're heading out of the city with a significant other, so we suggest heading north for the winter, when it's a lot quieter and equally as adorable. To get there, drive through lower CT, through RI, and take a ferry from Falmouth. The entire trip is less than six hours, and once you're there you won't want to leave.
