Why We Love Spinnakers

sag harbor american restaurantBecause it's in downtown Sag Harbor, which might be our new favorite village. Because it has a wooden sign; which is usually a good indication of class and quality. Because, considering the aforementioned characteristics, the prices are extremely reasonable (huge salads and sandwiches under $10, most entrees under $15). Because it has a sun-filled back room...

...Because it serves steamers, and a lot of them. And homemade bread you slice yourself. And really good, thin crust brick oven pizza. Because the servers are uniformly sweet, even when being admonished about undercooked salmon by elderly patrons. Because I saw the salmon, and it was not undercooked. Because it's roomy enough to chat, and cozy enough to eavesdrop. If you haven't been, try it out. Regardless, let me know what you think!
