Winning our hearts on Bravo's Top Chef, and now a cherished host on ABC's The Chew, Carla will have you screaming "hootie hoo!" with this healthy and flavorful cranberry pear relish. Here's What You'll Need:
  • 1 medium yellow onion
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup dry red wine
  • 1 2-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  • 2 3-inch strips lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1 pound fresh or frozen cranberries, thawed if frozen (4 cups)
  • 4 ripe Bosc pears, peeled, cored and cut into 1/2-inch chunks
