International Debutante Ball, New York
The International Debutante Ball is an invitation only formal debutante ball to present well connected young women to high society. It has been one of the most exclusive events in the country since 1954, and occurs every two years at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. It is coined as the "United Nations of Debutante Balls" as it always attracts the most debutantes from abroad.
Once chosen, each debutante is required to pay at least $16,000 in addition to the required formal wear and other related expenses. Former debutantes include daughters and granddaughters of Presidents Nixon and Bush, royalty of Yugoslavia, the family of American media moguls, such as Christina Huffington, and the infamous Hadley Nagel, whose family lineage includes two signers of the Declaration of Independence.
Keep an eye out, the next International Debutante Ball is coming up this December!
