Exploring The Waitomo Glowworm Caves: Waitomo, New Zealand
365 days a year you can glide through the water of the magical Waitomo cave in Northern New Zealand. These caves are known around the world for housing the stunning glowworms. These worms live off the fungus which grows along the caves walls and the beautiful light they produce comes from their larval stage.
Guided tours through the Waitomo Glowworm Caves take you through the different areas of the expansive caves that include the top level of the cave and the Catacombs, the Banquet Chamber where visitors dine, the Cathedral (an 18 m high closed with amazing acoustics for tours), and finally a majestic boat ride through the Glowworm Grotto.
