Celebrity makeup artist and self-described eyebrow guru, Erwin Gomez, announced the opening of KARMA Beauty Lounge by Erwin Gomez, with an expected arrival date of late spring 2012. In conjunction with KARMA’s opening, Gomez will be releasing his own cosmetics line, Erwin Gomez Cosmetics.
KARMA will offer individually tailored spa and salon treatments called the “Erwin Gomez Experience.” The beauty lounge will open their 4,000-square foot location with a new team of expert artists in DC’s West End neighborhood.
Gomez is one of the most recognized makeup artists in the business and is a prominent fixture on the international fashion scene. His long roster of celebrities and high-profile guests include Oprah, Jennifer Garner, Rosario Dawson, Stevie Wonder, Eva Longoria, Judy Reyes, the Bush twins, and even Michaele Salahi. Gomez has been internationally recognized for his artistry and expertise in makeup and eyebrows even winning the highly prestigious WELLA Professional’s “International Trend Vision Award” representing the United States.
His previous salon, "Erwin Gomez Salon and Spa," closed over a year ago but also received national acclaim for its hair, waxing, spa, makeup, and eyebrow services. The salon closed due to his bitter divorce with James Packard, who was also his business partner. A rep said "James is definitely not involved" this time around.
“KARMA Beauty Lounge by Erwin Gomez is going to be completely different from anything DC has ever seen. I want my clients to have an experiential journey every time they have an appointment,” Gomez said. “I always devote 110% to my guests. KARMA will be a reflection of that.”
Erwin Gomez Cosmetics will feature a full line of high quality and performance makeup. Erwin Gomez Cosmetics will be simple, easy, true-to-use and tested personally by Erwin Gomez.
Prior to his own line, Gomez exclusively used the brand Make Up Forever.
KARMA Beauty Lounge will be located at 1104 24th Street NW, Washington, DC 20037.
