Oh no! Hudson Restaurant and Lounge is closing this month. The contemporary hot spot in DC's Golden Triangle is shutting down with a final party on September 28, from 11am to their last "last call."
Owner Alan Popovsky wrote in a closed Facebook event,
"After five great years and so many wonderful customers, we are closing up shop at Hudson Restaurant & Lounge and moving on to our next new Presidential venture Teddy & The Bully Bar opening in early 2013. Teddy will be located at 1200 19th Street, NW in the former location of Sam and Harry's."
We will miss you Hudson, but we are SO excited for Teddy & The Bully Bar! The restaurant will be like Lincoln, but themed around President Theodore Roosevelt.
By the way, remember that story about Teddy's son bringing his pony into the White House elevator? Because it sort of reminds us of that time the Green Cup of Polo brought horses to Hudson...
