Josh Burdette, legendary manager of 9:30 Club, was found dead at the age of 36 on Sunday night.
If you've been to a show at 9:30 Club, you know Josh Burdette. He was the big, surly no-nonsense guy at the helm of this award-winning venue and, at first glance, he was terrifying. He stood tall with enormous gages in his ears and two armfuls of tattoos. His presence was famous with a Facebook page that has over 5,000 likes dedicated to "That Guy At The 9:30 Club." Friends of Burdette insist his appearance was actually quite misleading.
Montgomery County police are investigating the death as a possible suicide.
Since the spread of the tragic news, there has been an outpouring of sadness and grief from those in the DC community and the music industry.
