His Brother's Widow
Listen, love works in mysterious ways, but I really think this doesn't get talked about enough. Hunter's older brother Beau tragically suffered from a brain tumor and passed in 2015. About a year later, around the time he separated from Kathleen, Hunter began a relationship with Hallie Biden, his brother's widow. At the time, Joe said he fully supported the couple: "We are all lucky that Hunter and Hallie found each other as they were putting their lives together again after such sadness. They have mine and Jill’s full and complete support and we are happy for them."
That's nice and all and I get that they were probably brought together by shared grief, but c'mon, it's strange and had to have been awkward AF for everyone.
