TLC recently released the trailer for the up-coming reality show chronicling the rise and current success of Georgetown Cupcake. The show debuts July 16 at 10 PM.
Unless you've been living under a stupid rock, you are very familiar with Georgetown Cupcake. It was intended to be a small neighborhood cupcakery, but thanks to impeccably fresh ingredients and production, Georgetown Cupcake is now booming business. While the shop used to be located on Potomac Street, right across from Dean & Deluca, that location proved way too small. Recently, Georgetown Cupcake moved its location a little west, into an 33rd & M Street corner lot. Now, more cupcake maniacs can fit inside the shop, and not have to wait in a two block-long line outside when it's blisteringly hot (or below freezing, since cupcakes are by no means a seasonal treat).
Sisters Sophie LaMontagne and Katherine Kallinis run Georgetown Cupcake, and quit fashion and finance gigs in order to do so.
While baking may not seem like such a stressful endeavor, TLC's clip might convince you otherwise:
