Fashion darling Simon Porte Jacquemus may very well be known as much for his prime location scouting skills as for his cult-favorite designs. So, considering how much thought and creativity he puts into setting the perfect scene for his presentations, it should come as no surprise that his wedding, of all events, was a magical affair like no other.
This weekend, the designer said "I do" to longtime partner Marco Maestri in the South of France, in his home village of Charleval in the Bouches-du-Rhône region.
Attended by a slew of stylish guests, including Dua Lipa, Jeanne Damas, Amina Muaddi, Didi Stone, and Tina Kunakey, the celebration began with an al fresco ceremony at the historic local town hall, where friends and family turned the stone streets into quite the buzzy catwalk - complete with crowds of onlookers.
The festivities continued at the Château de Bonneval, where guests enjoyed champagne towers and photo ops with the happy couple. Following a sunset dinner situation that could only be described as "banquet goals" and the unveiling of a larger-than-life cake (which saw the real-life couple serving as a "topper"), the fete went on into after-hours with a custom installed "discoteca," complete with light-up dance floor and pumping tunes. At this point in the night, the newlyweds, along with friends, switched out their dapper suits for some playful wedding gowns.
Fun, fashion, and romance in France - truly the most fitting affair for the groom and groom.
