It appears Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have some stylish royal wedding shoes to fill this year. On Friday, March 16th, Prince Christian of Hanover and his Peruvian bride, Alessandra de Osma, celebrated their union with a lavish affair in Lima, attended by the likes of Kate Moss, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Talita von Fürstenberg, and Princess Olympia of Greece.
Though they legally tied the knot five months ago at the registry office in London, the A-list couple held their ceremony and high-profile festivities back in the country where they first met. Alessandra, a lawyer and former model, hails from one of Peru's oldest and most elite families, while Prince Christian is the son of Ernst August, Prince of Hanover, and the stepson of Princess Caroline of Monaco.
The bride wore a fairy tale worthy gown by designer Jorge Vázquez, as well as a stunning floral tiara borrowed from Princess Caroline, for the religious ceremony at the 17th Basilica San Pedro. Post-church, guests were treated to a lunch at the exclusive Club Nacional, and a reception at Berckemeyer house, a grand estate built by Alessandra's grandparents back in the 1930s, according to the Peruvian Times.
Obviously, the party didn't end there. On Saturday night, friends and family toasted the newlyweds at a glitzy cocktail bash hosted at the Museo de Osma (another property belonging to the bride's family), which was built as a private vacation home but now exhibits one of the city's most extensive art collections.
