Uh Oh, Arielle Charnas Is Back In The News - This Time For Skipping Out On A Florist Bill

by Stephanie Maida · May 26, 2020

At this point it may seem like we have some sort of personal vendetta against Something Navy influencer Arielle Charnas, but we assure you, we'd love to stop writing about her as soon she stops finding herself embroiled in some sort of controversy. Le sigh.

First she was accused of using her privilege to obtain a COVID test, then she was chased off Instagram (for like, a week) by angry commenters who criticized her decidedly non-quarantined coronavirus recovery plan in the Hamptons. Now, after a sufficient amount of tearful apologies to render her misdeeds old news, Charnas is on the social media chopping block once again. This time, she's being accused of skipping out on a pretty big florist bill.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Southampton-based floral designer Mark Masone blasted Charnas for stopping payment on five Mother's Day orders from his company, which her camp allegedly claimed were never delivered. "This is disgusting behavior," Masone captioned screenshots of Charnas. "My advice is stay far far away from her. If she did it to me then she will do it do you too."

    It was pretty brutal:

Charnas was quick to comment on the post, claiming a miscommunication. "I've never spoken to you or anyone at your business before. But I'm happy to speak on the phone and resolve it in a mature and reasonable way," she wrote.

But then (!!!) someone else swooped into the comments section, accusing Charnas of lying. One Monique Wisniewski, a local esthetician and friend of Mark's who claims to have been helping out the florist, said that Charnas spoke to her directly when placing the orders and was told that there would be a delay on some of them. "After YOUR idea of combining 2 orders that were being delivered to the same address, I assured you ALL arrangements would be beautiful, and the next 3 delivered the next day. You could not have been more understanding. So it seemed."

She continued, "Next your assistant is questioning everything to the owner Mark, then disputing charges?! Do you not communicate with your assistant?"

'Twas all quite a doozy, but now that the post and related exchange have been deleted it seems the issue was probably resolved.

All we have to do now is wait for the poor girl to get publicly shamed again. Considering her track record, we give her a few weeks, tops.
