The Hamptons are chock full of changes this summer - and a big one we are looking forward to is the transformation of Second House Tavern into Ruschmeyers! We snapped some pics of the progress and are counting down the days to Memorial Day when we get to finally check it out!
What should we expect from the renovation of Montauk's oldest hotel? A hub-bub of outdoorsy activity! According to their website,
"Ruschmeyer's will offer a slew of activities from ping pong to kite surfing, paddle boarding to yoga. We will have bikes to rent, trails to hike and a treatment room to make everything right again! Among the wooden lawn lies a teepee, a treehouse and plenty of hammocks for lazing in the sun."
And the food sounds great,
"We've teamed up with Phil and Ben from Silkstone and the guys behind Fat Radish on Orchard Street in NYC. Together we will be creating a locally sourced, farm fresh restaurant with an emphasis on Montauk's freshest fish. Enjoy dinner both indoor or in the Magic Garden, a classic maritime cocktail to follow in The Electric Eel Disco, or share a punch bowl and drum circle at 'The Pool,' swimming pool turned sand pit, turned beer garden!"
The nightlife sounds like good summer fun too!
"The Electric Eel disco will open nightly for spirits and The Pool, our outdoor bar, will offer ping bong, bocce ball, craft beers, and punch bowls, and a weekly acoustic performance."
The sign has been changed already to "Ruschmeyers."
