We've long written off L.A. Saturdays as Amateur Night when it comes to nightlife, as they tend to bring out a rather unsavory breed of bottle service-hungry partiers with absolutely no shame from the Inland Empire and beyond to get real trashy and maybe punch someone/something in Hollywood. But over the weekend, L.A. arbiter of hip Minx Society joined forces with iSHOWMYSELF at Trousdale to turn Saturday nights around with the launch of Society.

Tired of the lamentable status quo that is Amateur Night, our friends iSHOWMYSELF and Minx Society's Casey Winchell decided to make moves and throw a party that promised to "bring Saturday nights back". Thus Society was launched over the weekend at Trousdale. The party brought out a crowd of familiar faces seldom spotted at the regular Saturday night shitshows around town. Trousdale's main room tables and dance floors were packed as iSHOWMYSELF's Will Crimes and Nick Foster took turns covering the decks along with Aaron Castle and skate legend Chad Muska spun an impromptu set in the back.

A photo station courtesy of Rony's Photo Booth was conveniently set up near the bar to give guests souvenirs of event and proof that there is hope for Saturday nights in L.A. And if you don't believe us, see for yourself this weekend when Society makes its return. Just please leave the Ed Hardy riffraff at home.
