Los Angeles' hip kids and indie band groupies gathered at Bardot's weekly La Boum last night to get their alternative fix, with a little help from The Like. The flannel and denim jacket-clad crowd of Hollywood scene elitists got down to the retro pop-rock tunes of the all-girl band of born and bred Angelenos. They've been making the rounds with various L.A. gigs in recent months, including the Refinery29 L.A. launch, to promote their new album, Release Me, and show off their new mod look.
Since forming in 2001, the group has had a pretty impressive run, signing with Geffen Records and touring with the likes of Phantom Planet and Kings Of Leon. You might have even caught them at Coachella back in 2006. The Like undoubtedly put on a fantastic show as they have every other time we've seen them live, making clear that although nepotism may have aided in getting them their big break, talent's what's made them a hot musical act for nearly 10 years.
