Report on the Construction of a Spaceship Module at the New Museum
Combining technology, art, and the cultural elements of the Soviet Space Race, the New Museum's Museum As Hub space has been transformed into the simulated interior of a spaceship. Inspired by Czech science-fiction film
Ikarie XB-1, the futuristic, multimedia exhibition is guest curated by Eastern European art network, tranzit, and features over 100 pieces of individual work by artists hailing from cities including Vienna, Prague, and Budapest.
