In the age of 1-2-3 Tumblrs and ready-made domain names, the DIY aesthetic has become almost sanitized, losing the grit of the elbow grease that used to go into independent projects. Cultural collective Boo-Hooray has, however, decided to celebrate the forgotten art of DIY, by presenting DIY OR DIE at Milk Gallery, a showcase of the rough-edged creative beauty of zines, album covers, and posters from the punk scenes of the 1970s and 80s. Who knows, maybe you'll even take away some DIY inspiration.
