-Veterans of Cafe Boulud and Del Posto, the NY Times named this duo the "future of Italian food in America" for a reason. -Mario Carbone and Rich Torrisi's restaurant on Mulbery, Torrisi Italian Specialties and Parm, has pushed the duo to the forefront of the city's culinary scene in just a couple years. -Of course, both are Culinary Institute alumnae. They originally met through their girlfriends, and met again later at Cafe Boulud. -Like other chefs at Esquire's event, Carbone and Torrisi were on HBO's Treme.
