Stillness

Stillness is about being present in our own skin, reflection and recovery. It can be conscious and meditative as well as restful and restorative. Meditation, sleep, taking a bath, restorative yoga - stillness is the other half of movement, mental and physical. Stopping is hard, but pockets of stillness make our nervous system happy. Even just 5 minutes in the morning followed by journaling, art-making, or quiet reflection can be game changing. Taking a conscious breath before a conference call or before sitting down to dinner with the family, and implementing a hard stop bedtime are tools that will deeply serve us. Exploring meditation with a (Namaste) teacher can help you feel supported along your journey.
