Corleone Family Home
Take the ferry to Staten Island. Hear me out -really. It takes something special for me to recommend with sincerity that you go where I'm telling you to go. Connie Corleone's wedding was shot at a house at 110 Longfellow Avenue, Staten Island. I've yet to meet anyone who considers herself a cinephile and does not love The Godfather. A pilgrimage to the filming location of Coppola's opening scene is possibly the best reason to go to Staten Island. The house appears as it does in the movie with the exception of the walls and gates that were a set designed to create the sense that the Corleone compound was heavily guarded. Finding it is sure to be an adventure, but don't try any funny business - it's a private house. Do a walk-by, then find some pizza for the perfect date night.
