Making Midtown Memories
Any NYC-centric cinema round-up would be incomplete without a nod to
Breakfast at Tiffany's. But today, we're skipping breakfast and talking brain food, in a date fit for NYC's finest nerds. Start a new chapter in your relationship with a stop at the
New York Public Library, where Holly Golightly and love interest Paul Varjak spend the afternoon.
After exploring the library's offerings, walk over to the
Waldorf=Astoria and enjoy a meal at one of the luxury hotel's restaurants, made famous in movie history. You won't need to look far for dinner conversation. Just make sure your reservations don't fall through, or you could end up like Jack Lemmon and Sandy Dennis in
The Out-of-Towners, who end up spending the night in Central Park.
End the night by tracing your way back to
Grand Central Station, by-passing the train tracks for a late-night treat inspired by Meryl Streep and Robert De Niro's coffee date in
Falling in Love.
