“This is the year of low proof cocktails and throwing out the fluff. People want easy and refreshing options which can be enjoyed without having to consume too much alcohol. Whether it is an early afternoon drink before a busy evening or an end of the night wind down, drinkers are no longer willing to sacrifice what they crave in a cocktail when they ask for something with lower alcohol content.
Carbonation is going to be accessible and prevalent this year. The tools and techniques to achieve a great carbonated drink are out there. People are going to throw away the half-hearted carbonation from soda water and replace it with carbonating the entire cocktail.”
