Afterwards at Umami Burger, in between mouthfuls of delicious french fries and sliders, we chatted with Tony award-winner Nikki M. James from Les Mis about the upcoming Tony nominations. While she’s honored to have won in the past, she said that the Tony’s are ridiculous; ranking one actor’s interpretation of Shakespeare against another actor's portrayal of a Steinbeck character would be like if the Olympics pitted a whitewater rafter against a figure skater. You just can’t compare the two!
