We were told that The Tenth is a new zine which “documents the history, culture, ideas, and aesthetics of the black, gay community.” At least one inch thick, it’s a lot bigger, and more importantly, better produced than any zine we’ve ever seen. With a heady blend of sexy and smart it deftly discusses a woefully under-served demographic. We’re not exactly sure why but one of us got it into our heads to ask everyone to give the camera “the finger” so all these very nice and friendly people look really angry, which they were not, we assure you.
