Friday: Jaimie Warren Opening at The Hole
Jaimie is one of our favorite young artists working today. Her work is silly enough that we’re not offended when she does black face, but smart enough that we can carry on a prolonged rigorous analysis of her work and not get bored. She apologized profusely for her show being “unfinished” which we thought was pretty punk rock of her and welcome in a neighborhood which has been steadily whitewashed of it’s D.I.Y. history. Anyways watch this space for our coverage of her performance next week.
