What determined who got in when you were first doing the door?
: For the 6 years that I was the doorman I really based who I let in on their energy through my interactions with them. I liked to keep a diverse room of people; I always believed that's what set us apart. No real formula, just an instinct.
What about GoldBar was important for you to preserve?
Shaun Rose: GoldBar is unique because of it's tongue-in-cheek interior design. Its over-the-top opulence, filled with the most stylistically group of regulars. Even while New York itself becomes less, well, New York, GoldBar remains true NYC. Thats the most important thing for me to preserve.
