How NYC's Millennial-Favorite Sex Club Is Keeping Your Kinks Safe In A Pandemic

As terrible as it is, COVID has brought humanity together on so many levels of experience. Most notably, in regards to universal horniness (the struggle, as all of my fellow singles know, is real).

When social distancing first began, sexpert Daniel Saynt, the founder and "Chief Conspirator" of New York's cool kid-frequented sex club NSFW (New Society For Wellness), shared with us some tips for getting it on via phone and video chat. And while that information is always good to have handy (uh, no pun intended), the good news is that it might not be quite as vital any longer.

The New York Department of Health's updated (and particularly kink-friendly) guidelines on getting intimate have coincided with loosening lockdown rules, which means the reopening of NSFW's sexy Soho oasis couldn't have come at a better time. But what does group play look like in a pandemic? And how is the term "safe sex" getting redefined?

According to Saynt, voyeurism and hand sanitizer are the ways to go.

"We have enough room to give each other space, so we’re asking members to engage in a ‘no new play’ policy, which means come and play with a partner and experience NSFW for the exhibitionist and voyeuristic sides of it," Saynt told the New York Post about the club's reopening.  "Throughout the clubhouse, there’s additional hand sanitizer and toy cleaners at sanitization stations." Masks and gloves are also provided to guests.

And while capacity will be limited to about 10% until Phase 3 of the city's reopening, virtual members of the club can tune in to workshops and events at home via livestream. It's certainly better than nothing!
