After many a late night getting sweaty on the downstairs dance floor, it's officially time to pour one out for East Village favorite Drexler's. IYKYK.
Sad as that is, though, there is some good news for the neighborhood party crowd. The bi-level watering hole has been reborn as Wiggle Room, a bar and dance lounge from Eric Kruvant, Jaime Felber, and Darin Rubell, the same team behind Drexler's and other hot spots around town including Mister Paradise and Pretty Ricky's.
The revamped space boasts plenty of fresh design updates, from its minimalist and modern upstairs bar to its vibrant, neon-lit subterranean dance floor. Inspired by "the experience of listening to music," the interiors include plenty of soft, fluid shapes and geometric accents.
For a chill early evening hang or first date situation, hit the chic cocktail bar upstairs for playful yet upscale sips like the Wiggle Room Martini, Tennis Club Colada, and bar director Will Krepop's take on an espresso martini, called the Alligator With Hair Curlers (Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur, cold brew, Ketel One Vodka, Copalli Cacao Rum, and toasted coconut).
Looking to let loose later in the night? Get your groove on beneath the disco ball in the funky downstairs lounge, where a weekly rotation of DJs will be pumping the tunes and the energy.
It's basically two hot spots in one. As for which kind of night out you're after? Well, give yourself some wiggle room!
