Upon entering 169 Bar, the bar has a word of mouth sort of cool about it: $5 PBR + shot specials and Vanessa's dumplings offered on the same menu? Problem is, 169 Bar is so great, that everyone in the Downtown scene has pretty much heard of it, including the skateboarders. The decor is a little bit New Orleans a little bit college frat house. Animal print and Christmas lights overwhelm the senses, in the best way possible.
Where the drink specials go, skaters follow, and 169 is the perfect dive to jump into when cash is low and the night is young.
