This week was a big week for us. We (finally) closed off one chapter of the guest of a guest story with a farewell post to the Hamptons site, and the Summer of 2008. Then we opened up a new one, with the announcement on Monday of our newest feature, our picture directory, and events coverage section of our business.
We also had quite the busy week in Nightlife Land....starting with our weekend:
We had loads of “guests” covering the Diesel xXx party at Pier 3 (where MIA, N.E.R.D., etc performed). It was quite the “Rock and Roll Circus” tent which gathered everyone and their mother underneath it.

We also were guests at the newly opened Chelsea Hotel in Atlantic City, ironically there the same weekend that the NY Times decided to write their review of the place, we didn’t see Paul Sevigny but we did run into quite a few other recognizable faces.
Saturday we got around to trying out Derek and Daniel Koch’s new brunch party at Merkato 55, and Sunday night, we headed back to a regular hot spot, Cipriani’s downtown. The upstairs karaoke party was rocking and we were taken back to old times. We dubbed them the best game in town on Sunday night.
We had a chance to see the band MARS (Andy Hilfilger, Scott Lipps, Michael H., Robby Hoffman) perform at Stanton Street. They spent the night covering the best of AC/DC with a rotating cast of guests, including a drum session by Entourage’s Jeremy Piven.
We are getting SUPER EXCITED about the reopening of CAIN, to be called Cain Luxe and we were lucky enough to score an inside peak from Jamie Mulholland himself. The place is expected to open with a bang next Thursday, and you can bet we will be covering it exclusively. We will also be putting up an exclusive interview from Jamie on all things Surf Lodge, 27th Street, and Halloween.
Scott and Naeem were busy little bees this week. They gave us the first real inside pictures of the Eldridge, took us through the #1 Haunted House in the country with the Hearst girls, and went to more parties in two nights than most do in a year.
We are looking forward to this coming week when we will be securing our Halloween costumes, and hitting up more of fall’s hottest parties!
