Dorothy was definitely right, because who has the time? Yesterday was another hectic day for us. We started off by stopping by our photographer Sergio Kurhajec's photo shoot at the Empire Hotel. Sergio was shooting the Resort campaign for Philip Bloch for Emma and Posh. Philip is already famous for styling celebrities such as Halle Berry, Nicole Kidman and Beyonce in other designers' clothing. Now they will have the option of wearing clothing designed by Philip himself.

Philip was on hand to oversee everything as was PR diva, Danielle Thur, of Whisper PR and Artwing's own Sparrow on makeup. The Holiday '08 line will be launching in the beginning of September to kick off fashion week and we will be there to tell you all about it.
We then headed downtown to an old favorite, Bottino restaurant. We were neighbors of the Italian eatery for years and basically used it as our cafeteria. It was nice to go back and we were joined by Kipton Cronkite. Kipton is highly successful, incredibly modest and adorable to boot. He is an amazing dinner companion as he asks questions that he really wants to know the answer to, listens intently, then follows up with another question. At times, dinner felt like a very amiable job interview. We finally got him to talk about himself and learned more about the organization he founded, Kipton Art. Kipton Art acts much the way Artwing does by taking unknown talent and introducing them to a wider arena. The biggest difference is, Kipton Art does it philanthropically. In addition to artists and photographers, the organization recently expanded with Kipton Music. We talked about a future collaboration between our organizations and are excited to pursue it more in the future.
The three of us headed a few blocks down the street for the Hudson River Peers' Annual Boat Float Fundraiser. The benefit was held on "New York's one and only floating bar," The Frying Pan. Gillian Hearst Simonds is of course on the host committee and after fighting the crowds were able to find her at the very front, enjoying the views from the Hudson and the breeze coming off the river. We joined her and her husband Christian Simonds, Pat Stanwood, Courtney Thompson and Laura Kornhauser. The event featured open bars, dancing and a silent auction. We obviously took advantage of all three. We bid on one of the silent auction items, and we were the high bidder as we headed out the door, so we're keeping our fingers crossed...
