The dubiously sanitary indoor hot tub at this Meatpacking District institution is probably one of the most photographed spots in NYC nightlife. Opened right at the start of the decade, the Standard Hotel’s rooftop discotheque has long attracted a diverse crowd ranging from Meatpacking club regulars to gay nightlife royalty—thanks in part to On Top, a summer party by the legendary Susanne Bartsch.
