Sure, Montevideo and Buenos Aires get more credit as party capitals, but Santiago is a close runner-up. Chileans start late and often party into the early morning. In terms of neighborhoods, the up-and-coming Barrio Bellavista is the best place to start: be sure to visit Maestra Vida, a salsa-flavored dance club where people really do dance. For more electronic and contemporary music, popular dance clubs include La Feria and Subterraneo.
