The Muses

With their luscious locks, mythical presence, and arsenal of party-ready tracks, The Muses can be counted on to inspire your ultimate night out. The Gemini duo, made up of Jack James and Daniel Walters, joined forces in late 2021 to "bring people together in the wake of a new nightlife era." They've since collaborated with a number of interdisciplinary creatives and have worked with clients like the Whitney Museum, Stella McCartney, Apple TV and Ali Forney Center.

From their weekly residencies at Butterfly and The Mulberry to special events around town, you'll never hear them play the same set twice. "No matter how much preparation goes into curating a given set, what's paramount is adaptability and always remaining in dialogue with what the room is actually responding to. We set cues and God laughs," they say.

Nevertheless, they do have a few favorite tunes in heavy rotation: "Black Latex" by Desire, "Love Is A State of Mind" by Honey Dijon, "Lipstick" by Kungs, and this super chic remix of Dalida and Alain Delon's "Paroles Paroles" by Doumëa.
