The Top Dive Bars In The East Village

Name: Mona's Where: 224 Avenue B between East 13 & 14th Mona's is one of the oldest dive bars in the East Village with a strong Irish heritage - Thursday is Guiness day, $3 pints all day and night. Pool tables and a jukebox award it it's dive status along with the fact that it's cheapest beer is usually $3; the jukebox also ensures the music has a punk vibe. The whole place is dark and musty and the bathroom is a place for the brave but Mona's is well worth checking out if dive bars are your thing. [Photo via]
