Overview: After the highly successful NYC launch of Toro, Ken Oringer's critically acclaimed Boston restaurant, Midmor Hospitality decided to raise the stakes with a new lounge on the opposite side of the building. Aptly titled backbar, the venue has gone on to become one of the hottest destinations in West Chelsea, drawing in the downtown crowd along the way.

Insider's Scorecard: Both Frank151 and the fashionable DJ Hannah Bronfman kicked things off by hosting parties at backbar, even before it officially opened. The opening night brought in a stylish crowd including Daria Strokous, Eugene Tong, RJ King, and Michelle Trachtenberg, and CFDA's party there amplified that even further. This past Fashion Week, the venue played host to The Blonde Salad & Steve Madden's kick off party, as well as the Rochambeau after-party. To boot, backbar brings in Holy Ghost! member Erik Tonnesen on a regular basis to keep the crowd moving.
