Who isn't absolutely, completely, hopelessly desperate for an excuse to get dressed up these days?
We caught up with one of our favorite social men about town, Zach Weiss, to grab his most formal Portrait of A Young Man in Quarantine.
What are you wearing?
In this photo, I’m sporting my terrycloth blazer from Bask — which I wear both at the pool, and for more formal occasions because it's so comfortable — and my favorite navy turtleneck from Sunspel. Oh, and my boxers!
What was the special occasion?
I was dressed up for Larry & Toby Milstein's “Zoomtopia” virtual benefit for COVID-19 relief (I did put on pants, eventually!), and my photographer friend Rommel Demano decided to swing by on his Vespa and snap a photo of me from the street. He’s doing a really cool series of portraits like these on his Instagram.
What's the most fabulous thing you've done in quarantine so far?
I’ve been revisiting some movies I forgot that I loved, like Match Point, which prompted me to put on my tennis whites and make gin cocktails before I made dinner one night. I think my next moment will have some sort of Western vibe.
What's your dream first night out back on the town look like?
Dinner with a big group of friends at The Polo Bar, a pit stop at somewhere dive-y like Dorrian’s or Ray's, and then cutting a rug under the disco ball at Paul’s, but I won’t be picky. I’d take a night out at the Red Lobster in Times Square right now.
