The Scandal
Though rumors of David's infidelity had been making the rounds for some time, their 14-year marriage reached a breaking point during the Fourth of July weekend of 2018. So the story goes, Libbie found her husband asleep in the nude with a female houseguest following a dinner party they hosted in their nine-bedroom Hamptons estate.
Though said houseguest maintained at the time that the encounter was purely innocent - they simply fell asleep after all the guests went skinny dipping - Libbie understandably considered it grounds for divorce.
