The scandal launched a years-long divorce, which, thanks to the lack of a prenup, saw the couple battling it out for an art collection worth millions along with ownership of their $72 million Manhattan townhouse. Screaming matches ensued in the courtroom while physical "wrestling" matches occurred over a $500,000 Keith Haring sculpture.
David secretly transferred ownership of their $72 million Upper East Side townhouse to an LLC owned by his brother and allegedly moved $200 million worth of art out of their Water Mill home when Libbie was off premises.
The ugly proceedings seemed to come to an amicable conclusion in 2020, when Libbie accepted a deal which included art, real estate, child support for their two children, and alimony. While the monetary settlement wasn't disclosed at the time, Libbie had been fighting for $100 million and claimed to be happy with the deal...
