She's obsessed with people's finances
Like, even fictional people's finances. At the movies, Ivanka would point out what she thought were inconsistencies with a character's profession and their lifestyle. Lysandra writes, "'Since when can a teacher afford a BMW?' she would ask, munching on her usual small popcorn, coated in what would be an unpalatable amount of salt to a normal person. Or, 'Why is a police officer living in a house like that?'" I imagine it must be hard being so ingrained with financial competition that you can't even suspend your disbelief that people with jobs can afford things long enough to get through a film.
