Hamptonites Are Freaking Out
Meanwhile, in the Hamptons, people are not pleased. Per a recent report in Vanity Fair, those with East End "escape homes," who were planning to work from their pools or the beach this summer, are stressing about the uncertainty and potential last-minute return to the city.
One advertising exec told the publication that if her plans to remain out East are derailed, she would be missing out on the typical $30,000-a-month she'd have netted from renting out her Hamptons home for the summer. "And I wouldn’t have spent $600 on two monthly beach passes."
