If you thought cotillion culture was big in the States, wait until you see how they do things in Russia.
On Monday night, billionaire heiresses and A-list socialites made their official debut at one of Moscow's most lavish social events: The Tatler Ball. Launched by the U.K.-based glossy back in 2008, it's become the country's premier coming out party for Russian debutantes.
Decked out in designer gowns (Dior, Chanel - oh my!), and some serious fur coats, the daughters of businessmen, politicians, and even a wrestler rolled up to the city's historic House of the Unions to dance the night away and show off, well, themselves. Escorted by dapper young gents, debs including Polina Rybakov (daughter of billionaire entrepreneur Igor Rybakov) and Leonela Manturov (daughter of Russia's Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov) glittered in the ornate Pillar Hall, performing a choreographed waltz to the sounds of a live orchestra and mingling with Moscow's elite.
