Lee Radziwill
Known as Princess Lee Radziwill and the younger sister of Jackie Kennedy, Lee grew up in one of the wealthiest families in New York (ahem, the Bouviers). Her second marriage to Polish aristocrat Prince Stanislaw Albrecht Radziwill marked her entry into royalty. She was considered naturally beautiful, with a simple yet elegant style. She briefly attempted a career in film and interior decorating, both of which were ultimately unsuccessful. Her life, albeit marked by status and wealth, was difficult and often found in the shadow cast by her younger sister. Despite her personal challenges, she branched out into the creative world, sparking a friendship with fashion designer Giorgio Armani and becoming a public relations executive for his company. She became close to Capote and was a notable attendee of his famous Black and White Ball, held in 1966 at the Plaza, but their friendship soon fell apart due to a libel suit. Even in her later years, and up until her death in 2019, Lee could be found at the chicest fetes, and front row at fashion shows from New York to Paris. We hope to be that cool in our 80s.
