The East Pole - The New Standard

The East PoleWhen the trees are still fresh in bloom, and the sudden heat still a novelty to a city long awaiting defrost, wandering the Upper East Side is only ever good for the soul, and the stomach. A place to breath. And to brunch. Passing The East Pole, it's immediately one of those restaurants that you find yourself wanting to be in. With its sweet little front porch of a patio, and it's bright, open interior, the fact that the food's great trickles in as a plus. Our must-tries include the Kale Caesar Salad, with anchovy, croutons, bacon, and egg, as well as the Broccoli Rabe Rigatoni, perfectly tossed with pork sausage and pesto breadcrumbs. And let's be real, we never met a Scotch Egg we didn't want. The East Pole, 133 East 65th Street [Photo via @thebrothersbuoy]
