If you like Wes Anderson: France

Les Bleus are known for their finesse and artistry, even when it comes at the expense of substance - much like filmmaker Wes Anderson whose penchant for extreme stylism is polarizing (check out @accidetnallywesanderson). At best you get The Royal Tenenbaums which marries aesthetics and story. At worst you get The Grand Budapest Hotel - an over-budgeted onanism fest. Anderson usually errs on the side of the French team: he’d rather lose beautifully than win graftingly. Understandable. It’s like when you go on Beautypedia and they tell you to buy Physician’s Formula even though La Mer looks so much better on the counter beside your Aesop. Sacrificing taste for efficacy feels so unsavory. So what if your priorities are misaligned? The French squad is the beneficiary of such headlines as: Can you have too much talent in a squad? The exact question my friends and I ask ourselves every day.
