The Brown Palace Hotel & Spa
Denver's Brown Palace has played host to every US president since Teddy Roosevelt (except for Calvin Coolidge), and even the Beatles have stayed at this storied hotel. Perhaps it's because of the Brown Palace's significant history that so many modern guests have reported seeing ghosts throughout the building. It seems to be local-- and not famous-- past guests that do the haunting, though. Reported paranormal activity includes a turn-of-the-century train conductor who once stayed near the hotel; gas fireplaces turning on by themselves; and music playing from the restaurant after closing hours. Even the front desk has reported calls coming from room 904, where a Denver socialite, Louise Crawford Hill, lived in the 1930s.
